Weekly Fitmesh Finds – May 22nd

Hi MAddicts,

It’s that Weekly Fitmesh Finds time of week again – and there are plenty to choose from this week!

As you’ve probably noticed, the fitmesh finds are becoming larger and larger, and first and foremost my intention with these posts is to provide you as readers with a shopping guide. Unfortunately demand is increasing a lot from designers as well to be featured, so I’m in the process of trying to find a way to make the finds a little more useful for everyone involved. Whilst I’m doing that though, finds will continue, and all I can say is that I would love to feature all the designers who request to be – I just don’t have enough time in the day. It’s in no way intended to be a criticism of your work at all, it’s purely that my focus is on what I think my readers will most want to know about.

Thank you all for understanding.

  1. Just a suggestion, Daria, but I hope you might consider NOT posting the Shopping Fair and Gacha items. Shopping Fairs already get the lion’s share of all promotion, and everywhere you go (for those of us who socialise) everyone is wearing the same thing. Even on the blogs this is true. There are some beautiful things being made, but I’ve seen them again and again.
Gacha items hit the marketplace sometimes within hours of release and make searching for (once again) something unique quite tedious.
I know it makes your job harder and you are certainly doing plenty as it is, but if you are now in a position where designers are coming to you, perhaps items that are featured could be the ones that are a bit harder to find, are unique or cleverly conceived or are excellent quality

    • Thanks for the feedback Chryblnd, you might be on to something there. Mainstore releases are often overlooked because of the ‘events’ hype, so I might look into this idea further, thank you!

    • I have seen her blog change a lot over the past year. Please remember that one of the reasons that she may include items for certain events is because she is an official blogger for many of them, and therefore will include items from places where she blogs regularly. Having a lot on her plate with the events and the sim, as well as maintaining the relationships and obligations she has as an official blogger for some stores/events, I think that she also does a wonderful job finding items that might not be from the usual. Moreover, the people she blogs for sponsor her wonderful work. <3

  2. I know the TMP body has issues with the HUDs but why are you leaving it out of the weekly reviews of mesh clothing, there isn’t one item this week. I, and many others, still think this body is the most beautiful. Please help us look for new items!

    • Hi Marcia! There are one or two in there – the problem is that most designers don’t make fitmesh for TMP, this is because they never released their mesh kit 🙁 Designers need to this to make fitmesh clothing for it, and so a few are trying to make TMP sizes, but there isn’t much out there. I include all the TMP stuff I can find, I promise

  3. Hi Daria. I agree with Chryblnd. The events are already heavily advertised, and by the time I see an item here I have already either purchased it or decided against it. I realize it is much more time consuming to travel to shops for the “finds” but it would make your listing a unique one and give your readers a chance to see some wonderful items not listed in other places (e.g., Seraphim). Thanks for your hard work and dedication!

  4. Thank’s Daria, I understand but keep my fingers crossed that TMP will start to allow more designers to participate. The Boutique clothes they sell are excellent but limited in design. Keep up your great work.

  5. I totally agree with the idea of less event items and more mainshop items. As soon as I can get into an event, I jump in and scan the whole thing. I buy what I want and then I’m done. What I really need is information on items that are not as easy to find as event items are.

  6. It seems to me that most stores are actually creating new releases specifically just for events. I find it is a rare occurrence that a new release quietly ends up only in their respective mainstores, this is from my own experience…naturally. If that is truly the case, it would make focusing on mainstore releases a tad thin on content.

  7. From the Male side of things Since Signature just released the Dev Kit. do you think we can actually get clothes for the Gianni body?

  8. I don’t know if any posted already, but Kitties lair released fit mesh items for their bodies (Lena’s perky and lush).
Also a brand new feet, tip toe fit, that fits all slink high feet products.

  9. I agree with more mainstore releases. And perhaps themed releases? Very little is there for roleplay, other than kink. Encouraging themed releases – like medieval, sci-fi, Victorian, steampunk, etc. might encourage makers to provide fitted mesh clothes for these bodies and also make it easier for people to find these resources. We <3 RP is great but sometimes some stuff you find there is so generic that I wonder why it was even there to begin with.
