Weekly Fitmesh Finds and Birthdays

Hi MAddicts!

Well another year has come and gone – and whilst I wish I could tell you I’d learnt many important life lessons in my 32nd year of life… I don’t think much has changed really! Once you hit your 30’s I think the life lessons slow down a little – though they never completely stop, that I’m sure of. One thing I will say about my 30’s is that everyone tells me it’s the decade that you start to feel more comfortable with yourself and settled in the grand scheme of life – but that’s yet to happen to me. Maybe this year!

Now enough of pondering life and back to Mesh Bodies!

Yesterday marked the conclusion of the Mesh Body Addicts Fair, and I must admit I was sad to see it go! I want to thank you all for your support – you helped make the event such a huge success, so thank you to each and every one of you.

The good news, as you may well know by now, is that the Mesh Body Addicts Sim will be opening in the next few weeks, and will be a permanent fixture. I’m so excited to see what we make of this sim, and create a place for both new and experienced mesh body users to get information, buy products and bodies and hang out! If you have a suggestion for the sim, leave a comment and let me know because I’d love to hear it 🙂

Now before I sign off and and let you get to your Weekly Fitmesh Finds for the week, I wanted to talk just a little bit about Valentina E. For those of you MAddicts who shop as much as I do, you’ll be well aware of this brand, and more recently you will have seen sizes coming out for Maitreya and Slink in most of their items, which is so exciting! As with all designers working with experimental Maitreya sizes, the fits get better and better with each release they make, and I’m glad to see that they’re not shying away from their signature drapery in their clothing either. The reason I say this is that fitmesh and indeed rigged mesh, distort quite a lot when avatars move, so simpler clothing items (tube tops, small skirts etc) have become very much a staple of mesh body life, and I think it would have been very easy for Valentina E to go the same route – and I’m glad they haven’t. Now I know, I’m the first to say I’m not a fan of mesh dresses (it’s the waddle walk that kills me) but in an era of mesh bodies where they’re almost necessary, if I’m wearing one, odds are it’s going to be from V.E 😉

  1. I recently bought the -Blueberry Rylai Tight Summer Dresses and its fast become my favourite outfit. Its so well made and never ‘breaks up’ when dancing or sitting and comes with hud for changing the 24 colours/patterns. Kudos to the designer.

  2. I love the Rylai tight dress. Heck I love just about anything Blueberry makes! I need to completely echo what Daria said above though – *please* don’t shy away from making formal gowns for mesh bodies just because they’re more difficult! We need them – and we will buy them!! My Maitreya body is awesome, and I don’t want to just alpha all the bits and pieces out when I need to put on a gown for a night at the ballroom.

If you make it, they will buy it! ;-D
