Tellaq – Broderick

Now keep in mind people, I’m not a guy, and men may have very different views on what looks good than I do… but guys, if you get this body, help everyone out and leave a comment with your thoughts <3

Designer – Tellaq

Price – 3000L

Mesh Body Type – Head and Body (includes hands and feet)

Includes –  Head, Body (fitted and normal mesh versions), HUD, Shapes, Fitted Mesh outfits, Eyes and a selection of gorgeous skin tones.

The Body and HUD:

Tellaq  hud

  • The body is too muscley for me, but I found when I reduced the size of the shape on the fitted mesh version,it wasn’t so bad. More ‘gym junkie’ than ‘steriod abuser’ 😀
  • The skin options for this body are gorgeous (as one would expect from Tellaq!)
  • It comes with a head, and although there were no expressions, the face didn’t seem as ‘stiff’ as the female mesh heads often are.
  • The package comes with a lot of clothing – two mesh jeans, two mesh jackets, boxer shorts and so forth, all with colour HUDS.
  • Body hair was optional and could be easily taken off/put on
  • The body was easy to use and understand
  • The body, oddly enough, doesn’t have an alpha HUD. The alpha selections are exactly what you see in the HUD above – they’re all designed to cater to the clothing included with the body which isn’t a perfect fit for the body (which I would have expected), thus requiring the alpha. This limits use of normal mesh immensely, because alphas available are specific shapes of ‘transparency’, so when I tried to wear normal jeans I found the ‘pants’ alpha was cut too high for him to look right.
  • The body is very much a ‘muscle man’. I would love to see Tellaq design a more ‘normalised’ avatar, he’s an extremely talented designer and I know it would go far!
  • Expressions, I would love to see this face move!! Even if it were just to smirk at me sexily 😛 hehe!

  1. Grumble…Grumble…, OK, Breathe now post…
Look the Body looks okay, still I think the makers are missing a point by not giving us a normallized bodyinstead we keep getting a complete Avatar. I might be a southern man in the minority here on SL but would like to actually see a fit mesh Body not a Avatar and that something that is not TMP!

  2. I feel like its just way to much muscle for me to aggressive. I have worn this one as well moving between it and TMP and neither have made me want to buy them.

  3. I just bought the Tellaq Broderick and I do like it immensely. However, we are not all techie experts and I am having difficulty understanding how to control the thing!
All of a sudden i have a beard and I have no idea why. Then the avi looks ok again (why I don’t know) and then the clothes suddenly turn into rags. I have no idea why, Also there is a sort of ghostly outline all around the avi. I don’t know what to do to get rid of it. The I buy a pair of shoes and they flap around with my feet sticking to under the soles and at a completely different angle. I am terrified to go out in it. Also what on earth is a HEAD ONLY avi?? why would I want to be a head floating around sl sims. There is a fitted avatar and a normal avatar. There is a selection 18 I think of body styles. when I click them nothing changes except I go green while whatever it is being applied!!. Please someone some serious help is needed here for the non tech guy. It seems like assumptions are made that everyone knows what the notecard is talking about. They don’t. Someone needs to explain the basics. I won’t go out in this until I know I can control it. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLP!!!!

  4. don’t waste your money on this . Like person has said before white shadow all around av . and you can never get shoes to fit body. I have been on sl a long time I am no newbie . Just don’t waste your money.
Also the creator tellaq guardian cant be arsed to answer his note card

  5. Am I the only one who always thinks Tellaq totally misses the location for the belly button?? Who the hell has their navels in the diafragma area? I bought a couple of his skins some 6-7 years ago, and it was the same issue then, and I’ve even pointed it out for him, only to get some pissy remarks in return, bascily telling me to fuck off. He is obviously still using his same old templates, and sorry, I dont want it.

  6. The thing about all these Male Mesh Bodies is that other then SLink there are all over priced anywhere 2 – 5K, which is way over priced SLink is Fairly priced at L$1,250, this Mesh body is 3K over double the price of SLink, and as far as quality go’s I’m not saying SLink is the best, but Joe smo is looking for a fairly Priced Mesh Avatar, I don’t feel that they will go for L$3000 L$2000 yes

    • SLink is priced at L$1250, not including hands and feet. Those are sold separately. L$1250 for the body, L$675 for the hands, and L$875 for the feet. L$2800 total, hardly a bargain.

  7. I have a Noobie friend who wanted to jump into the Mesh body immediately against my better judgement. First he spent a ton on the Niramyth body and he was so far out of his league. Then he found the BASIS MESH AVATAR BY TELLAQ. He loves it everything was included it met his price range and he only had a small learning curve to it. He is into his 3rd day and pretty much has mastered it. He loves the look doesn’t feel like he is on steriods. As I helped him I didn’t see much change when he tried to adjust the body with the sliders. So that was my pet peave but the body looks good he had many features and its has a note in it that it will be upgraded soon with Bento for the head and hands via the hud automatically. Having clothes in the hud was a plus for him because he didn’t have to go out and buy new things to wear. As a present I gave him a suite form AEC and he was able to wear it and use the body alpha that came with the mesh body to make the suit fit perfect. I can’t wait to see what the upgrade does but my friend is in love with his new SL look.

  8. Very poor job on this body. All around disaster. 0 clothing options. When the elbows when bend look ridiculous. Unless you plan on running around naked this body is a huge waste of money. HUGEEEE just give your lindens to me, it will give you the same effect. Plus customer service is non-existant.

  9. Love Tellaq’s skins, but not a fan of their mesh. Just wanted add a comment on Yummy’s post. Yes, Slink costs about $1250. You then need feet and hands at about 600 each. All the others come with them included, so the price is actually within a few hundred $L no matter what you get (TMP excepted unless I win the SLottery). The only real difference between bodies now is the quality. As much as I love most things Tellaq, this is just too much for not enough options and mediocre execution.

  10. With a little practice, most Niramyth clothes will fit this avatar, but don’t be expecting to have a lot of bare skin options. suits, long sleeve shirts, etc will work well… but tanktops, swimsuits and the like will be difficult.

As an occasional body this works well, but if you’re shopping for an all-the-time body this is definitely not the one. Unless you own a nude beach, I guess.
