Likes:
  • The body and skins are really detailed, with body hair, eyebrow and other detailed options
  • The body includes a mesh head
  • A muscular male AO is included with the body
  • Because of the way the tattoo layer is structured, it’s possible to wear multiple tattoos on different areas of the body at once, which is cool
  • Designer kits are available with different designers currently working on both mesh clothing and footwear for this body already
  • The pants layer. I LOVE THIS. Basically, you manually ‘add’ the pants layer when you want to use it, which is great for avoiding layer alpha flickering issues. The layer itself is what’s most impressive though. The layer is shaped like pants – as in, it’s not a clone of the body leg shape with a few tweaks, it’s an actual pant looking layer that goes down over the ankles like pants would, meaning when you use applier pants – it’s basically like you’re wearing mesh pants (obviously a basic shaped mesh pant, but still a decent mesh pant). This is incredible, and I hope female creators take notice of this style of layering!
Dislikes:
  • There’s no demo available of this body, which makes it very difficult when deciding if you want to purchase it
  • It’s another overly muscled male body! It’s such a shame too, because Niramyth are clearly definitely capable of making some gorgeous non-muscleman mesh!
  • Skin tones have definitely increased options but I still find it hard to match the more reddish based skins (Belleza etc). Mind you the RGB HUD helps with that, and you can add a colour to the colour palette now, so at least you won’t have to do it more than once (until a HUD update).
  • Body won’t fit most standard sized clothes, but this won’t change, the shape of the body is too muscular. Having said that though, the creator of the body is releasing quite a bit of full perm fitmesh, so there are a number of designers out there now putting these items out.

  1. As you point out, one of the drawbacks is that the creator has a fantasy avatar background…and it shows. The weird grey skin tones, that make the Enzo look like a statue, with poor skin texture variation.
My main gripe, however, are the legs; even on full muscle slider using appearance menu to change shape, the upper torso is excellent, but the legs look like a scrawny, underfed sparrow’s by comparison.
However, it is still a work in progress, as the creator points out, and it is still an excellent male mesh avatar. But, those skin tones! Just awful. I wish, now, I had gone for the black skinned version.

    • Actually, T-Bone … the black skinned versions are lacking a bit too, in my opinion. I purchased one so I could learn more about it and to get the developer’s kit (which store owners who want to make products can’t get unless they buy the body) and I felt that while the detail of the body was amazing, like you said the legs were skinny. But the skin on the darker body is still grayish, especially on the feet. It makes them look ashy. So that’s not really a selling point.

I’m hoping that we see some skin makers come out with alternatives for this body soon; ones that will have appliers.

  3. Hello Daria! Lovely post saw you used some of the info I gave.
But what you wrote about the demo which i saw at the cons.
Niramyth will put it out once the beta is over and the final body release is out.
    Thought I would clarify that.

So far it looks like they really listen to the customer and have things on a pending list to update.
If you like muscled this is def the best option out there now.

Hope I figure out the feet kit soon haha.

  5. I have been playing around with this mesh body as well as the TMP Body.
It is specifically targeted for the more developed muscle type which is nice as not all of us want to look 20.
There are some clothing options though you need to try demos first to make sure you get a great fit.
The down side is the lack of skin options, although the included skin is very detailed if you use the mesh head you will look like a clone.
Again the shame is the mesh head has great potential as it is the only male head around with open eyes.
Personally I love this body and its skin, but being a huge skin whore it can be frustrating!
It works well with other heads and the system head. Once you get to grips with RGB its easy to match.
I would defiantly recommend it for a heavier set avi!

  7. I’m taking a “wait and see” with it. I want a bodybuilder look, like I currently have on my standard avi. Most other mesh male bodies are bubble-boys or look like a Neanderthal. This is the best bodybuilder look I have seen yet. If they fix the bird-legs and the grey tone to the skin, I might be tempted.

  9. I personally love this body & might I say best looking behind for SL Males, you can adjust it alot with shape from thin buff guy to beefy. I don’t use mesh head I prefer to use my own sl face (almost everyone I know who have the body use their SL Heads). I’ve been able to match 3 different skin tones from Aeros Skins it takes time but worth it. They have plans to have other skins to help match more skin in future they are still in early stages and have surpassed all others. The amount of clothes out there for the Aesthetic is rapidly growing more choices I think that even some of the older bodies. You can use a majority of standard mesh pants just not all. And they do have plans to do other body types if demand is great enough. They are well known for their quality just see their other designs.

  11. The Alpha has been redone with many more areas. With even more to come.
It can be slimmed down as to not be all Arnold looking, however it is billed as a muscular av. If you are not looking for that, this is not the av for you.
the skin tones have been made much much better and matching your skin is easy. Yes you can use your own head with it. 🙂
Making standard mesh fit is the same with any other mesh body, you have to use the alphas and possibly mod your shape.

    • I agree here. I was one of the first adopters of this body and I decided early on that I didn’t want to look like an escaped convict. So I got to working with the sliders and since then I’ve enjoyed a nice non-bulky-but-still-athletic shape. I don’t use the mesh head at all, because: (a) I don’t want to look like everybody else who DOES use it; and (b) I have not changed my skin since Day 1. It’s who I am and I’ll most likely never change it. I didn’t have any problem matching the skin tone, although it does vary in different lighting conditions. I agree also about the bird legs, although with my slimmer shape, it’s not much of an issue really. And today, there are tons of things to wear with it too. Now though, we have to watch our render costs, so you can’t go too crazy with it unless you don’t mind looking like a Jelly Doll on someone else’s screen. Jewelry items seem to be the worst offenders, along with clothing items that have transparent parts. All in all though, the 3K I spent on this body was a no-brainer. Best money I ever spent in SL.

  13. its just the best body period for a guy in sl. with a mod shape (included) you can avoid the roid freak look. only thing is no major established sl clothes makers have made anything for it. only designers of the bling tard stripe

  15. I must say about the muscles that you are partially in the right in a way. Though you can lower the muscle to like 10 or 20 to become more athletic and less bulky, even though you do stay a little buff, which I find appealing makes you look like a athlete, like a pole jumper or something. I honestly like the body even the face though generic (since it is standard) it isn’t too bad and a lot of people like it. The wide arranges of tattoos is awesome and they also look very good too.

My mayor drawback is that most shirts don’t fit cause the body seem to be either very muscled at the neck (even at low muscle) or maybe he just stand upright slightly more then a default? I’d say it is the bulk neck/shoulder muscles. Nice that more fitted clothes come out, though thats a help. Though it is difficult to fit tight fitting jackets or shorts you might have with the alpha, cause the neck is is too wide at the back. However neck always are a porblem with loads of mesh bodies.

Also like to add that for 2799 you really get a lot and the six pack for example as it has bulges you have a better side view then for example the TMP. The muscles just look more 3D is that the right word? Just they have depth and shape, just wearing it makes you really feel a tough guy too.

Splendid I’d have to say by the way!

  17. Grumble…Grumble…, OK, Breathe now post…
Look the Body looks good, still I think the makers are missing a point by not giving us a normalized body instead we keep getting a complete Avatar. I might be a southern man in the minority here on SL but would like to actually see a fit mesh Body not a Avatar and that something that is not TMP! I think the review puts it best as one of the dislikes “It’s another overly muscled male body! It’s such a shame too, because Niramyth are clearly definitely capable of making some gorgeous non-muscleman mesh!” That being said the body does look good just wish it was that just a body might include some hands but have it be compatible with Slink Feet and a blending option so I can use my own head!

    • I have slimmed down my Niramyth body so that it looks damn good. Standard mesh fits easily with just a few alphas on(standard with any mesh body.) Do you have this body or are you going on what you have seen? As MBA said, you can easily use your own head. Also Skins are coming, many popualr skin makers are working on them as we speak.

    • it comes with feet and hands and there is also a neck blender. They did a muscular body 1st cause its most popular. They are likely to do other style bodies they have said so. you must remember this 1 is still in beta they want to prefect this 1 more before they do others. They are by far the best mesh body for males, they already do more for their customers then any others

Yes it does come with hands and feet, however as for the neck blender that comes with it that’s a big no go! The blender shape seems to protrude out of the back of the skull and seems more like a back of the head blender, rather then a neck blender. Course this mesh body like all the others suffers from the same lack of alpha cuts that’s on all the mesh bodies. now the clothing layers this is another area that could use a lot of help…I am not a fan of having to attach another prim just so you can apply Omega or different layers to it. It may be a long shot but see if you can graft a SLUV map on top of the skin model that would work with applier clothing, rather then a separate mesh prim.

  19. I got this avatar not too long ago, and I must say I am impressed, specially with the tinting options for the skin.

I have used this body with a classic head to make several “demon” avatars by using the color tinting and making my own tattoos with the layers.

I have also have yet to find a set of mesh clothing that I cannot make fit by using the alpha.

After over eight years on Second Life, I have to say that this is the best male avatars I’ve seen so far with 1st Acts Human Male following as a close second.

  21. Well I sent a note card to Felicity Blumenthal, the Belleza contact person. She said that there is a plan to release a male mesh body in the future but no time table on when it will be available. Kind of tells you where their priorities are and us guys don’t fit in with those priorities at all. The posts here have been encouraging in that the muscles on the body can be scaled down a bit, at first I was under the impression that it couldn’t be at least not very much. I guess I’m going to have to take a good look at this one. It seems to be the best one available at the moment and seems the creators are active in producing a quality mesh body for us guys.

  23. I bit the bullet and bought the Niramyth body. My system avi was pretty muscular, so I wanted a good bodybuilder look. The Niramyth did not fail me………… almost. I got an incredible upper body, tremendous detail and visually, it is just superhuman. Ahhhhnold wishes he had an upper body this ripped and powerful looking.
The lower, uh, not so good. No matter what you do to legs, lower body, hips, anything, you are stuck with these muscular but bandy little legs that can easily get waaaaaaay out of proportion to the upper body.
If you want a truly big upper body, you are forced to wear long pants that hide the skinniness of the legs.
The only other thing I don’t like? It cost a ***FORTUNE*** to clothe this body. Nothing is cheap, the few that are don’t seem to work or look awful.

  25. Actually u can make the leg well balanced if you take time, play with your shape more or find a friend to help you.
I find for thinner shape if you do say 40 on upper muscular the legs should be 10 to 20 higher so 50 to 60 muscular to balance it better.
As for the clothes, you actually have more choice then any other male mesh out there. You can wear most standard mesh pants with Aesthetic.
As for cost there a great stuff out there for 100 lindens or close to it. the same as standard it may take time to build up you clothing closet.
Buy smartly so u can mix looks

  27. But your solution to making the legs balanced is to reduce the upper body. My point is, if you want a big upper body, you are stuck with muscular, but fairly thin legs. The adjustments for legs max’s out at a point that comes no where near matching the max for the upper body. That’s not a good design, they should match.

  29. Thank you for this blog. I purchased this skin 2 days ago and I am trying to learn how to fine tune it.

Thanks to the author and commentators.

  30. For me its the best body currently in SL
It is very detailed, all muscles very well made and you can look from a comic muscular super hero to a swimmer with all in between.
About the head blender issues that I read here, I didn’t have them with the XS one, so everything fine for me.
The only issue for me is that there are no skin appliers till now and I am not the gye who will spend time tinting. I hope there will be some skins out for it preety soon so I can use it

  31. A friend bought this for me. It is my first experience of Mesh so in a sense my negative impression are partly based on a lack of experience with Mesh. I could not find any notecards providing instructions. It was just a complicated mess of objects to navigate. The skin colour/tone is really more look more like the poor avatar has been in the morgue too long I could not get any stable match to an existing AV head which had golden-reddish skins tones. It would also render very differently depending on environmental settings and SIMs so it is unstable in how it gets rendered. There is considerable skin texture details. Body shape is ugly and difficult to make look natural. I reduced the shoulders to match the absurdly skinny legs it still looks like a hunchback. My AO keeps switching off and is very basic. Sadly not something I could live with so I put back into inventory and sent an apology to my friend who bought it. It is clever and innovative but the final product is flawed, lacks aesthetics and has too many rough edges and bugs – it is very much a prototype. One star would be generous unless you are into making under-ground creatures of semi-human form – then it could work as a platform for building mythical creatures. The creators needs to address the skinny legs and problems described on the skin tones – they are too much into the blueish hues.

  32. sounds like you should follow a class of how to properly use a mesh body, it is something you have to learn but you can pick up easy. The things you get out of the box you can easily work with the other boxes are optional, like extra hands, darker skin tone pack etc. You can literally pick any of dozens preset skin tones and with the colour pallette make thousands of variants in the alpha hud under skin.

The shape… Well you have to make a shape that you like if it has skinny legs that cause you obviously use a shape that has a very low muscle leg. It comes with a few different shapes, but come on you make your own shape, even with default bodies. Honestly it sounds you lack of properly knowing how to work editing of shapes and the alpha hud, is key here… I have my body muscle set at about 20 and legs to 60, to make a nice even out for example, of a muscled atheletic look. Only issue I have is the broad muscle that leads from the neck to shoulder, that doesn’t diminish with muscle reduction enough.

I think its 4,5 stars, just my 2 cents.

    • NJ I agree having knowledge of Mesh would be extremely beneficial in the case of this product. Having said that there are problems which are consistently being reported. The builder has not got back to me with help on the head matching (probably because it was a gift from someone else). Finally there is no note card to show the organisation of stuff. My star is based on my fitness for use. I put it back into my inventory. I can see if it works it could be 5 stars for some people and would have loyal followers.

  33. Just bought this and I’m impressed and perfectly happy..Had an Aeros avatar for ages and was very happy with that but the detail on this is a whole different ballgame. Was super easy to slim it down to be pretty much the same build as my aeros avi was anyway. Had no problems with the few pairs of mesh trousers n boots I tried.. some slight issues around the waistline with some, easily fixed with the correct t-shirt or top.. the alphas layers work great for some fine tuning.. but wouldn’t expect perfection from anything not specifically designed for this avi. Tops are another thing though, nothing I have fits so far.. oh well I was expecting that so no surprises there.. superb job niramyth and looking forward to future improvements

  34. Hi, I’m trying to overhaul my avi and bought the Enzo package. I am new at this, and don’t know exactly what I’m doing, but I know the look I’m going for. If any of you are proficient at Avatar Design, please let me know and I’ll send you a photo of an Enzo Avi with a custom head…maybe you can help point me in the right direction on how to do this? Thanks,

  35. Bit later maybe but you got seriously tweak down muscle and neck thickness if you want a more strong gymnast look then bodybuilder, even all the way towards 10-20 for muscle.

  36. Have this body both the African and Caucasian variants (as well as the Slink, TMP, and Tellaq on various accounts). Thoughts: VERY difficult to find clothes that fit the upper body. If you like meathead weightlifter gear then you are in luck, at least as far as what’s on MP, because that pretty much sums up what the maker has released in terms of mesh clothing for builders to use. In my opinion, this body is really only practical if you plan to be shirtless most of the time. Very few high-end clothes makers producing clothing for this body (L&B is one, and Gabriel is just starting to, though there may be others I don’t know about). I found it near impossible to match the skin perfectly if you want to use your own skin’s head, and if you don’t use your own skin’s head then you will look like the twin brother of everyone else out there. I usually wore a beard to cover the line. The other problem is the alpha hud. While it is very easy to use, you aren’t able to make fine enough details to alpha out bulging muscles. Some changes are made symmetrically as well, so if you alpha out your right nipple (for example) the left one is alpha’d too. The maker badly needs a better alpha hud. Last of all there are ZERO skins available other than the ones that come with the body, which I think is a big mistake on the maker’s part. Positives: If pronounced muscle and a big bulky avatar is the look you want, this body is a great choice. I ditched the shape that comes with it and used a modified shape (an aeros one I think it was) that I tweaked a bit. The skin in my opinion looks really good, with very good detail and a layered quality which makes the veins and such under the skin look quite realistic. Anyway, hope this help.

  37. I recently bought this and some of the earlier complaints are valid. Yes its overly muscled but you can use the Small or XSmall shaped to minimize that. This is my first MESH avatar and I am learning. I bought a different head as the packaged one looks like a dork. Question to all mesh head creators, WHY do you make your heads look angry or stoic?
Someone mentioned the legs…I use my sl shape and delete the lower mesh body as I have certain shoes and jeans I prefer to wear and it works very well for my needs. When I want to be neekid, I add back the lower portion and I think with my size I chose, the legs look great. My long hair covers any skin differences in the neck and head as well as a tattoo I have bought. Overall for me, I rate this a 7 out of 10. I am getting used to all the HUDS and applies that I am given. Ialso have a very good partner that is a MESH addict to help me out…lol

  38. Just got this body for an alt ive tried slink, signature, TMP etc etc I like this one better no buying separate hands and such i like the way the hud works…much like the signature hud

  39. Hi,

Thank you for the review. Your blog is freakishly awesome and you’ve helped me….help a lot of newbs find their way in SL in form of taste. I am a huge fan of Niramyth Enzo. I’ve taken the XXS shape and made it a tad bit more smaller and the end result is amazing. The only problem I have is creators not making enough clothing. Most of the clothes you see out there are mesh with aesthetic log on it. Unfortunately, it’s not specific for Aesthetic unless it says “ONLY FOR AESTHETIC MESH BODY”. I truly do love this mesh body and I hope creators wake up and realize, this is the best body where all the curves of muscles are in the right place. With all due respect to other mesh bodies like TMP and Slink, they are just boxy upgrades of the default body.

Niramyth is not a body builder. Most seem to think that’s what it is. Just a guy with muscles. I’d love to see him make a non muscular mesh and a female mesh. He’s amazing at what he does.

  40. Not mentioned here, but this is pretty much also the only option on available that’s both copy and modify. All the others are no modify, which renders them effectively useless in my mind.

  41. I like the hud much more easier to use than the other bodies yes its more muscular than i like which i hope the make a smaller version but to sell to me… you gotta have a pretty user friendly hud

  42. I’ve been playing around with the Niramyth Enzo, I’ve always gone for more of a Quarterback/Wide Receiver athletic build instead of the Huge Linebacker type. Aka Leaner muscles with slightly wider shoulders. I managed to get the legs looking pretty good for what I wanted, but I’ve noticed that if I don’t have the arms straight out in the position I’m in they go all Claymation/Gumby on me at the elbows and shoulders. Like there’s too much material there that bunches up when you bend the joint and it ends up looking more like a “skin suit” than an actual skin. With my AO having several “arms crossed” positions for standing around this is a bit of a problem. There’s a similar “Gumby ” problem with the Ankles Hips and Knee joints in certain sitting positions as well. (The best way to see the issue is by running the default “meditation” pose and you can see the Elbows and hips distort.) This even happens with some animations using the default Enzo shapes (Though with the Ahrnold build upper torso a lot of times it all just kind of mashes together so may not be as noticeable with several of them.) I don’t have enough experience with a Mesh build to offer suggestions on how to correct it, When and if that could be fixed the skin looks great and the “leg problem” is easy enough to solve with normal shape editing.

  43. I think this is the best body currently out there.
All the bones and muscles of a male body are there and they are at the proper place. Traps, delts biceps and triceps, abs, and so on and so on.
It is of course quite muscular and even if you bring your muscularity sliders down it will still be so, but it can be turned into a nice swimmer body quite easily.
There are some clothes and appliers for it after being such a long time out in the market, lets hope that we will soon see more of them. It is nice to see that head creators have included in their heads, parameters for their heads to fit with the aesthetic body.
When this mesh body came out, althought that it was obviously the most detailed and well made mesh body, it faced a lot of critisism from the mainstreem creators and you could hear phrases like “well niramyth has a background as a fantacy creator and it shows” or “this is a body for those who want to look like they are on roids” and other staff like that. Meanwill, many people who said things like that, have given marvellous critics to the horible horible body of Slink, which has half the bones and muscles wrongly placed!!

  44. Its was a great body for a time, but for myself I got bored of the same skin same muscle tone same look and the lack of clothing options. Its all the same boring stuff. I also got sick of the dumb neck half way up the back of my head asking the creator on numerous occasions for them to fix it. Another thing that pissed me off was the big panic ” BUY NOW cheaper in beta ” another creator lie to get people to panic buy. And it has not had updates sense the first one. ZZZZZZZZZZ next.

  45. Worn it for a couple of months, and I am a bit tired of looking like a body builder that have spent most of the day in a coal mine. It’s just … too much of everything.

The first thing you want to do is to get rid of the head, so you stop looking like a clone of every other guy in the room, which is not very easy since there’s not many skins that match the overly shadowed skin on this beefy guy.

I would also like to be a bit shorter. From my experience you look like a chunky doof if you shrink yourself below 7’3″ and while the majority of SL’s residents now, after being towering 7 feet tall all of them, both men and women, have shrunk to more natural RL size, I fid this avatar a bit monstrous.

Based on this, I am currently searching for another mesh body. But alass, now that I’ve gotten used to the sublime definition with very detailed sculted veins and muscles and so on, it’s hard. Allthough it has the flaws mentioned (which isn’t really flaws but my personal opinion) I must admit that no other mesh body come even close to matching the level of details in the Niramyth.

What I am hoping for now is that they will release a less bulky version of this, with off course less cartoonish skin shading
    .

  46. Daria, Kindly update your review.

I discovered today that in fact there IS a DEMO available for the “Niramyth – Aesthetic” Male Mesh Body.
Kindly go to the FAQ web page: http://www.niramyth.com/#!aesthetic-faq/ctnp
and you will see “Yes, the DEMO is now available at Niramyth Main Store”

When you get to the Niramyth Main Store you will need to click the on the image for the “Niramyth – Aesthetic” Male Mesh Body and then you will be teleported to the place where you can actually find access to the DEMO. When you enter the area it over on the right hand side of the SIM.

Last week, I did not know the DEMO existed, so I went ahead and purchased the avatar. It is an impressive avatar, although a bit too bulked up for me. Maybe I would have liked to be able to actually try out a demo before committing my Lindens.

(BTW, I have read that Niramyth is working on a “normal” guy that may be available at the end of 2016. I can’t wait. His work is really incredible.)

I hope this will help others.

  47. I didn’t have any problems matching my system head/skin to this body, though it did take a little work to get it just right.

I don’t get why folk complain about “yet another muscle mesh for males”. While I’m certain there are more then I’ve seen out there, this is pretty much the only muscular mesh I see any guys actually using in SL (other then one or two guys I know that moved over to Signature). The problem is more that there are almost no options between TMP type twinky mesh bodies and the Niramyth muscle (though I have seen some impressive results from people that are far more skilled with sliders then the average resident).

Lastly, I don’t know how recently this review was updated, but the copy I bought about 6 months ago (give or take a couple weeks) has 5 save slots for alphas, not 0 like it apparently did originally.

  48. Just bought the package but i was hoping to use my other skins that I owned with it too …. sadly no can do 😐 then I tried to buy other mesh heads to change the look but no can do there either ….. So Please add more options to change the look.

  49. I love the body as it has many chances in being the best muscular bodies in Second Life, as many who are bulky like such in reality might have interest in this body. Now going to the size and muscle model of the avatar, the creator has talked about creating a less muscular shape which is much more realistic like some of the bodies we see today (Slink, Signature, etc). We shall see, as I myself have been rather creative with it while blending it with furry skins and accessories.

  50. El cuerpo es bastante bueno, esta muy bien hecho, el problema que encuentro es que no tiene “piel” para combinar con la cabeza catwa que te permita cambiar un poco mas de apariencia
